Rothmans & Earthlings

It was a world of far beyond everyone’s imagination. As we strode into the setting sun rays on planet Kauris, our new planet, I thought about the past few days.

Just simply 3 days ago, 72 hours back, everything was fine and normal. I went to school with my best friend, has normal lessons and back from school for dinner, a daily routine – on planet Earth.

Then, a sudden as it could be, there came a message from the USA president to all the countries in the world, saying that their satellite had spotted a huge meteorite, 3 million kilometers away but larger than Sun, coming full force towards Earth. It is traveling at a speed of 602500 X 10^8 km/h, and it will hit Earth, causing the Earth to shatter into many pieces and the people falling into outer space, in which they will die from the lack of oxygen and thus the day will be The Judgment Day.

It seemed that the Meteorite Anti-Earth had been traveling towards Earth at this alarming speed since the Han dynasty times, but it started from 12 galaxies away. It was from Red Ruby Galaxy, Planet Roth, and it was known that there lived a population like the humans on Earth in planet Roth. However, this population consists of the Rothmans, and they are 14 times smarter than a genius human, hence they can calculate that Earth exists while we are unable to know that THEY exists and they have been trying to move Earthlings nearer to them (to their neighboring planet Kauris since they needed animals, plants and water) since the Han dynasty in Earth.

Soon, a Rothman teleported to the USA White House and explain their plan. The USA presidents than held a massive global conference 2 days ago and explained the plan.

The plan is to evacuate all Earthlings into planet Kauris by the next day, and Meteorite Anti-Earth will hit Earth the following day.

It seems impossible, but with the new technology of the Rothmans, we were teleported country by country, and reached our new country, new galaxy in a matter of hours. Red Ruby was very different as Milky Way. Milky Way has 9 planets, and a recent planet X, revolving around the sun, but Red Ruby has only 2 planets, Kauris and Roth, which both has the good environment for survival. For years, the Rothmans waited for a population to occupy Kauris, to no avail. Rothmans whom migrated there soon died due to the lack of company and urbanization. It was decided by the Rothman King that a whole new population has to migrate at once, and then urbanization can start.

Let’s pause the story for a moment. Are you confused now? This is not a matter of countries, but shifting people into different planets and galaxies, while is very unrealistic in this world of ours. This story is just to prepare you for a vision of the sudden things we might not know of the mighty universe. Now that you are clear, let’s continue the story.

The Rothman King selected Earthlings from 85 populations all over the universe as Earthlings are the smartest after the Rothmans. Therefore, since the Han Dynasty in Earth, the Rothmans have already been very advanced in technology, and they sent a meteorite, Anti-Earth to bombard and crash Earth. By the time Anti-Earth reached Earth, it was year 2010. The Rothmans are a millennium more advanced than Earthlings.

Hence, we were transported, area by area in a country by huge metallic air-balloons, past 12 galaxies into Galaxy Red Ruby and onto Planet Kauris. We traveled past 12 different galaxies, named by order from the closest to Milky Way - Honey Way, Crest Icicles, Drop Swirl, Plesters Monocle, Grace Tramp, Sapphire, Starry Milestone, Pentagon Intrigue, Long Bloom, Glassy Paths, The Great Odyssey and eventually Red Ruby.

It was like traveling through time! The only galaxy similar to Milky Way is Honey Way, and the rest are like fantasies. Crest Icicles, Drop Swirl, Pentagon Intrigue and Sapphire have mirrored skies, Plesters Monocle, Long Bloom has stars in the shape of numbers and alphabets, Starry Milestone is brighter than a dozen of spotlights due to the millions of stars and The Great Odyssey was the most beautiful, with faeries flying in the mid of that galaxy.

Red Ruby was very red, with red skies and diamond leaves floating in mid air, acting like stars that could be caught. It is oxygenated, and everyone can float it they are not near the two planets with gravitational force.

We finally reached Kauris, and we gasped as we stepped out of the metallic air-balloons we later knew as Flyers. The ground is patched with glassy diamonds, with friction of course. There is only one species of flowers, the rainbow dandelions. The air smelt like sweet sea breeze and the river water as pure as distilled water.

There were mountains are valleys and rivers, but no urbanization yet. The Rothmans promised us that after a month, the Kauris will look exactly like Earth’s urban places, perhaps better. Since Kauris is larger than Earth, every country is allocated more space, and this is rejoicing for Singapore!

We were brought to an exact location where we first depart from Earth, and soon, every country is arranged orderly.

With rules from Roth, our countries’ presidents briefed us on the new chance of survival for us, the new start. There should be absolutely no killings, torturing of animals, harming of environments or various pollutions. The Rothmans will be observing from their 100.7 mega pixel satellites and will prosecute anyone who disobeyed the rules for the 1st year.

Earthlings brought animals and plants with them, thus we started our plantings and growing of animals while the Rothmans helped with technology. Buildings could be built in 3 days and roads in a week.

We also view the destruction of Earth my Anti-Earth Meteorite and many of us wept as we saw our home shattered into a million pieces.

Soon, after the initial 6 months, Kauris looked like Earth, even better with its lack of pollution and evil. The Visiting Day came. Earthlings can go over to Roth and admire its technology while Rothmans can come over to Kauris and admire its lavish nature which Roth lacked.

We decided to rename Kauris as Mother Earth as everyone in Kauris is Earthlings. Then, our lives continued. It was as complex as everyone’s imagination. The Rothmans ruled us well for the first few months. They kept us in our area, our country, our state, our region, our estate, our family. And at every point of our new Earth, Rothmans began their high tech building of buildings, a clone of the previous.

After 6 months, everything was ready. Everyone in every part of our new Earth went back to their school, their offices, and their malls. With high tech farming, the forests grew in six months. It was too wonderful for us. Although everything was as it seems, everything suddenly have a touch of Midas and was brand new! We were satisfied… before we went visiting in Roth.

In Red Ruby galaxy, space shuttles flew as freely as traveling cars in Earth. Caecilians are the “airplanes” in Red Ruby, which enables Rothmans to fly to other galaxies and around the universe.

We were loaded into Space Shuttle Golden, where we were transported to an area in Roth. When we landed, we let out a huge gasp.

“Oh my gosh! Is this heaven, or our neighboring planet?” I questioned out loud.

We were in city Tramps, one of the less leading cities. The roads were paved in gold and platinum, which would last for millenniums. The buildings were thousand stories high sky scrapers. No wonder we can see the faint markings of Roth from our new Earth. Not a single car is traveling on the ground, except for some Rolls Royce. Every single car is flying 10m above our heads, at top speed.

There are no more airplanes. Everywhere in country Roth is accessible by train or cars, since these vehicle travels at lightning speed. There are teleporting machines too. These metallic machines stood like telephone booths in our good old Earth. If anyone wants to teleport, simply go into the booth, slip in a change and select the area you wish to go to.

The trains are filled with fur seats, and there are machines for people to leave their shoes while the machines air-cleaned their shoes and the people sit bare-footed in the trains, their feet on the fur padded floors.

Rothmans looked just like humans, only with much more beautiful facial features by correcting their genes and a couple of people whom looked exactly the same from cloning. Their clothes were extremely beautiful. Most were decked in pearls and other lavishness as they wish.

There are mobile clothes stations where they can make clothes in 10 minutes with beautiful and original designs. There are malls too, and all of the malls are space like, with bubble-like food centers floating in the middle of the mall, accessible only via teleportation which looked like elevators.

Again, the floors are fur carpets where the shoppers have to remove their footwear and stick their feet in super cleaner machines before they can set foot in the mall. There are also floating chairs which can be maneuvered by the shopper himself. The chairs are equipped with sound systems and massage chairs.

After our visit to Roth, we returned to our daily lives in our new Earth. Frequently, as we made fast friends with Rothmans, we often visit each other, and many Rothmans migrated over to new Earth and earthlings migrating over there.

Hence, were continued our new lives.

~ The End~

Refer to: “Life After People” on History Channel for a video story on Earth after people has left for Kauris.

*This plot is a fiction and may seem extremely cheesy to you. What if we have to evacuate Earth suddenly? Due to the global warming and other pollutions that harm Earth, we will not know what God has in store for us. We also not know about other galaxies in the universe, hence this is a prediction of our future. My apologies. =)

Kindness Story Competition

Kindness Story Competition:

Tears Of Receiving

Strolling down the dirt path, kicking stones and humming a monotonous tune to which ever being that would listen was my ordinary walk from school. Nothing was special. Nothing was particularly of interest. Nothing was out of the ordinary.

However, during this stroll from school, my back hunched under the weight of my schoolbag, I saw a familiar shadow.

Her back, hunched like mine, but inflicted by the routine of bending towards the ground to pick up anything that was of value, was faced towards me. Struggling, her wrinkled form stooped down to ground level to pick up waste aluminum cans, bottle pieces and even plastic carriers.

She is the infamous “Grumpy Old Woman” of our neighborhood. Poor, old and abandoned, she welcomed no pity nor love, no help nor kindness. Nobody spoke to her, nobody speaks of her, and she speaks to nobody.

Just before me, a hunched form that reminds me so dearly of my loving Granny accidentally dropped her carrier bag of valued items, spilling its contents all over the sidewalk. She lets out a tired groan of deject and weariness as she stoops down yet again, picking up again all that she picked up from her whole afternoon of scavenging.

Conscience gnawed at my heart. I was told many times by my mother never to help this old untrustworthy woman, but I pushed this thought down the depths of my mind.

“Here, let me help.” I offered, stooping down much quickly and grasping many items at once, dumping it back into the huge carrier bag I took in my other hand.

“Get lost!” Her raspy voice croaked threateningly. “I need no help!”

I ignored that comment and continued picking and dumping. Her eyes widened questioningly. I am the first person to continue helping her despite her rude warnings.

In silence, I picked up all the items and dropped them into her huge carrier bag as she watched my every move intently. As I returned her the filled bag, I saw tears seeping from the corners of her eyes.

“Here, auntie.” I passed her the filled bag as I turned away from her, she weeping her silent tears of gratitude that touched her after many years of isolation.

“Girl,” she called after me. “Thank you.”

I knew she meant more that a word of thanks, and I believe that every single person in this world deserve a piece of kindness. That day that was nothing particularly interesting to me, made her day. It made a change. It was kindness.
